welcome from our pastor
We are a group of people, a family of believers, a population of diverse individuals united by a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith Church is a Jesus church. A church that reads the Bible in a Jesus-centered way. We are sanctuary for people to come and wrestle, doubt, struggle in their faith by following Jesus Christ. We want to grow our faith in becoming like Jesus.
We come together as "grace-oriented" people centered on Jesus Christ, committed to know and care about one another across the generations, empowered to serve the world in the name of Christ. Our roots are in the Baptist tradition. In our Baptist tradtiion we value Bible freedom, soul freedom, religious freedom and church freedom. Baptist is a contested term these days, with some of the most annoying religious voices claiming the label, so sorry for the ugliness coming from our larger baptist family. We are uninterested in partisan politics, but find the Gospel and Jesus to be inherently political (it would take a lunch conversation to unpack that last sentence). We are diverse in every way possible, and do not maintain a litmus test to attend other than a desire to know more. We are committed to living into the paradox of our faith, and never settle for easy answers to complex questions. We believe that God in Christ Jesus is love, generosity, and joy. We try to be the same.
We hope you join us at a weekend service and more importantly, that you'll choose to make this your home church. You'll learn we're not perfect; but fortunately, we are loved by the One Who is. I would love to meet you in person this Sunday at one of our worship services (8:45am or 11:00am).
Blessings, Pastor Joe
